Local, affordable, quality pet care.

At Fox Hollow Animal Hospital, we're very proud of the active, involved, passionate community of animal lovers and caregivers that are involved with our practice, and we love to brag about them! So many exciting things are happening at our veterinary clinic that we want to keep the community updated on what's going on and what we're doing.

Look to this page for the latest happenings in the Fox Hollow world, both here at the clinic and in our neighborhood.

Check Us Out on Animal Planet!

Our show, "Hanging with the Hendersons," aired for two seasons on Animal Planet! Shot right here at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital and featuring our whole team of vets and tech -- plus plenty of furry costars -- Hanging with the Hendersons followed us through our daily lives here at the hospital and covers everything from pet health to guitar solos.

Dr. Ross Welcomes a New Vet to the Field

So happy to share this recent story from a Fox Hollow family:

"Lulu has been wanting to be a vet for as long as I can remember. So much that she has saved every dollar she has gotten in the past year for a horse to take care of. She just got to help a vet check out Momo and hear his heartbeat. 6 year old’s dream come true!" - Guy Long

So sweet, and it was great having her around the hospital!

Are You Ready to Adopt a Pet?

If you’re in the market to add a new member to the family, Denver's Dumb Friends League urges you to keep a few things in mind.

Karisa O’Meara went to the Dumb Friends League in December to adopt a pup. In her words, she was "addicted to having a dog."

Phil Davis, a DFL volunteer for 19 years, helped Karisa find Dillon, a black lab.

Joan Thielen, communications specialist for DFL, says animals have unique characteristics just like people do, and it's important it’s the best fit for that pet and the person.

"As far as giving pets as gifts, we really don’t recommend doing that here at the shelter," Thielen said. "We think it should be a family decision and half the fun of adopting a pet is coming to the shelter and really selecting that pet together.”

Davis recommends families need to understand there’s going to be some adjustment time.

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week

Our vet techs are our heroes!

They are compassionate, they are caring, they are dedicated, and they are always there for your pets. They're here working early mornings, late nights, skipped meals, and they never complain about the work because they have huge hearts and love caring for animals.

National Veterinary Technician Week has been celebrated since 1993 as a way to recognize the amazing contributions that vet techs makes to the day-to-day function of veterinary practices nationwide. They play vital roles in preserving animal health and welfare, and they are critical to our work at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital every week of the year.

We couldn't do it without them! Thank you to all of our vet techs!

National Dog Day 2017!

Ever wonder what National Dog Day is all about? Celebrated annually on August 26th, National Dog Day was founded in 2004. Here's how the organizers describe it:

"National Dog Day celebrates all breeds, pure and mixed and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and pure breed rescues. National Dog Day honors family dogs and dogs that work selflessly to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. Dogs put their lives on the line every day - for their law enforcement partner, for their blind companion, for the disabled, for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage."

Fox Hollow Featured on "Mountains of Opportunity"

Thank you to Brian Watson and Opportunity Coalition for featuring our hospital in the latest episode of their video series, "Mountains of Opportunity." They do amazing work highlighting local businesses and we were honored to be part of this!

Watch the video, featuring our own Tony and Ross Henderson, below.

Fox Hollow Adds Another Henderson!

Cole has been working as an Assistant since January and has made a great addition to our team. A graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, Cole has been helping out around the clinic for many years, so many of you likely know him already. But now it's official and we couldn't be happier that he has decided to join the team.

Now we're only missing one son.

Kyle? Are you out there...?

Welcome Cole!

Our winning video in the FirstBank 2015 "90 Seconds to Success" small business grant content was featured this week in The Denver Business Journal as part of a story about the 2016 edition of the FirstBank contest.

Our own Dr. Tony Henderson was quoted in the article, saying:

“The prize money of twenty thousand was used in a quick manner because we really we needed new surgical lights that don’t heat you up to point where you are sweating. The new lights are LED and are awesome. So every time we look at them, we think of FirstBank.”

Welcome Dr. Tim!

We are excited to formally introduce the newest member of the Fox Hollow team: Dr. Tim Bills!

He's a Georgia native with a silly dog named Jam, and we know you will find him extremely knowledgeable and kind. Many of you have already met Dr. Tim in the last two months, but if you haven't, you can find out more about him here.

Welcome to the team!

Unveiling Our New Dental Suite

Dr. Ross reporting live from Fox Hollow in our brand new dental suite!

FirstBank recently stopped to film their followup on our expansion and new equipment. Thank you again to everyone who voted for Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in FirstBank's grant contest and showed their amazing support for us!

We are so thankful and will show you the video of our great new space soon!

Dogs Ingesting Marijuana a Growing Problem

Our very own Dr. Tony appeared on Fox31 News on May 9 to talk about the risks of marijuana to pets.

We are so happy that our patient, Cocoa, is doing well, but this is a great lesson to people on the signs to watch for marijuana ingestion in pets and the best course of action to minimize the side effects.

Helping Keep Our Parks Clean

Have you seen our signs around town?

We have teamed up with Poo Free Parks, a Denver-based organization dedicated to keeping our parks and public open spaces clean by providing on-site pet waste cleanup stations and pickup bags. PFP also provides weekly maintenance services for public and private properties throughout the Denver, NW Indiana, Chicago, Portland, and Southern California areas.

Not only are we helping people clean up after their pets, but you get to see the three Hendersons and Barrington while you're at the park or out walking!

We Are Expanding!

It's true! We have been waiting to announce some very big news for everyone involved with Fox Hollow Animal Hospital.

April 4 was the first day of construction on the space next door to us, which will allow us more exam rooms, more treatment areas in back, more SPACE in general! It is going to be GREAT for our vets, our staff and, most importantly, our patients!

Please bear with us these next couple months during construction, we hope to make it as smooth as possible and the end result will be worth it!

We Won the FirstBank Grant

We are truly bursting with excitement: We won the FirstBank Grant!

THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU THAT VOTED! The support has been amazing and we can't wait to give back to our community and to our clients!

Thank you FirstBank!  Visit our Facebook page for more!
